Will different year car parts fit on the same model?

I have a 2002 mitsubishi diamante, if I get body parts from the same car but different year, will they fit or not? if not can they ever fit from a different year?|||It all depends on what parts ur talking about? Did the body style change during the 2 different years of parts u are trying to replace, was the vehicle redesigned or updated??||| body parts change sometime a lot but sometime not so much sometimes yes it could go either way by a year like before and after .. many time are the same parts you just have to look at a part to tell if its the same or not
