Im considering applying at a dealership and I'd be ordering parts for customers. I need to be familiar with car parts. Anybody know a good website i can brush up on my knowledge of car parts?|||Without automotive experience a job like this isn't likely in your future. You have to know cars, you have to know the difference between a control arm bushing and a tie rod end. You need to recognize that a 1998 Camaro came with a 350, not a 305. You need to know how to ask the right questions so you know you are ordering the correct parts because most of the times the customer is going to walk in and say "I need that thing that goes on engine, I don't know what it's called and I don't know which engine my car has". It's up to you to figure it out.
You don't get that knowledge from reading a wedsite, you get it from practical work experience.
