How can I get car parts for cheaper?

The stock rocker panels (most people call them "sideskirts") were stolen off of my car a little while ago. It is a '99 Honda Civic LX Sedan. I noticed there are many websites where I can purchase these parts, but the shipping and handling costs are ridiculous! What other ways would I be able to get these parts for cheaper? I've heard of going to the junkyard and getting them there, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it.|||Hello, if both were stolen have you thought about buying a body kit to customize your honda. My son had the same problem and went with a custom body kit the vehicle was complete and looked good at the same time. But going to used car part outlets ( junkyards ) is ok also. Some places let you go in and remove the parts you need yourself for cheaper. Good Luck.|||If you are talking about the factory rocker moldings (or sideskirts) then you can only obtain them from a dealership or body shop for new ones. If you want used ones, you can check with www.car-part.com They are not that expensive new...about $100 per side.|||Go to a salvage yard and buy them. They may have the original color, so you save on repainting costs.
