Can you buy car parts and have them attached and painted.?

I got a quote to fix my car which was extremely high. I was wondering to cut the costs if I could find parts (a hood and bumper) and then bring them to the auto body shop and have them painted and attached. Would most auto body shops do that?|||Before you buy new body parts. Call around to local junk yards and see if you can get the parts you need there. heck Ive even found ones the right color for my car.|||I would recommend RockAuto.com...majority of the parts they sell are cheaper than going to your mechanic, auto body shop, or places like midas and pepboys. They have very reasonable prices and all parts are new. Believe me you'll save a ton.

|||Anything can be done. yes you can find your parts and paint them to your color, but will they match? Paint colors fade over time so when you have fresh paint they tend to look brighter. Most body shops can blend in the color over a vast area to make the new paint look like it is a good color match. To find the parts you need go to www.car-part.com. Once you locate your parts, go to a Maaco for an inexpensive paint and install of your parts. Warning.....Not all Maaco's are created equal, some are very good and some just do quick and cheap. use your judgement on out of pocket expense and the current condition and value of the car you are planning to repair.

good luck........|||Of course they would done for you with happy, as long you agree with they cost. For them, as long there is a way to make money come and free advertising of the autoshop by you, why not. But please check the true cost, by order including paint or paint at the autoshop. Considering the time and quality and also guaranty, but you can ask the paint shop to make a thick and more liquid paint to have low paint use, but a time of the color will not last long as standart painting, but it can save a lot.|||yes...definitely! you can reduce the price by doing it yourself.....not handy?....well you can buy aftermarket parts...they are waaay cheaper and you can take it to a place for them to paint them.....big body shop companies will usually overcharge you but you can always find a cheaper paint and body shop doing a little research..... hope this helps|||can you by ground haberger and take it to mecdonales and have it cooked for you if you whant to get new parts let the shop by them and instal them and paint them you will save alot of head aces|||yea u can actually put on the parts your self cause all it is is couple bolts and then just drive it to the shop and ask them how much to paint the car
