When buying car parts, what's the difference between Economy and Standard?

I'm looking to buy a tail lamp assembly for my car. The website I'm buying from is giving me the choice between Economy and Standard. Standard is more expensive. Other than the price, what's the difference?|||the economy one will be the cheaper one ,probably after market one, standard will probably be by the auto maker or a well known after market part, there is a difference in quality also, the economy one will be cheaper made, and may differ a little in appearance, very little though,it wont be made as well, good luck on it.|||your welcome.

|||generally, that's the terms for shipping. however, it could also mean OEM parts versus aftermarket parts.|||The thickness of the parts will vary greatly. Don't go economy.

Have pride in your car...use at least the standard grade, and the car will last longer.|||Standard will be a direct replacement, while economy will require removal of salvageable parts to be reinstalled on the new housing. Often the needed parts will break while removing them. Missing clips, etc.|||Easy, one is pay-less and the other is name brand. Depending upon the owner and how much she/he loves their car you can go either way. My advice go OEM straight from the dealer. I myself had so many bad experiences from after market parts that are sold at those non-dealer auto part stores. Most dealerships get straight from the manufacturer that specializes on that certain make only vs the after market parts are from junkyards and re-cleaned and painted. But here is the downfall to after market parts what if you bought an after market part but never realized that the part came from a car that had an accident. Something to think about. Hope this helps!
