so i just bought a 1983 chevy camaro and a junk yard were i live is letting me take parts off of their cars. what cars used the same engine, carburetor, parts etc that the 83 camaros did...ps its a v6....or would it just be better to put a newer engine in the car so its not as hard to find parts|||in my opinon it would be better to just but in a brand new 350 because the 83 v6s are just pure crap meaning no power what so ever|||[edit] LC1
The longitudinal LC1 was produced from 1982 to 1984. It was a 2-barrel High Output ("1-code") version for the F-body cars. Output was 102 hp (76 kW) and 145 lb路ft (197 N路m). It was replaced by the LB8 for 1985.
