Who & where is the cheapest place to buy car parts in the UK?

Many companies in the UK dealing in car parts claim to be the cheapest but just who is the cheapest?

I've spent many hours searching for parts whenever I need them but I've probably spent more on phone calls trying to find them!

Do you have a supplier you know of that you reckon would be hard to beat on prices?|||Depending on what car you have, if your car is german or scandinavian Euro car parts are very cheap, Volkswagen, mercedes, porsche, Volvo and a few other makes. You can find out on their website at eurocarparts.com or .co.uk. There is another motor factor called EK brakes they are based in Cumbria/Lancashire their website is ekbrakes.co.uk|||Your best bet is normally your local Motor factors. They sell the same parts as the main dealers but mostly 'spurious' parts. Parts that are manufactured often by the same company who make the OE parts, but without the company logo on them. You can often find cheap parts on ebay from companies that are selling off parts from excess or old stock. Or it might be an owner who bought parts for a car he doesn't own. You can get some bargains that way. But when you deal on the internet, you often only end up saving a few pence at best when you add the packing and postage on top of the price. Owners clubs can be helpful. Check them out.

But if you want speed and availability, go see your local parts dealer.|||Contact trade associations or to get offers from suppliers and manufacturers of car parts, send an email with your requirement to buy@epog.org
