Is it better to sell your car for parts than selling the car itself?

My car started having some issues but was still running until my cousin tried to fix it and apparently didn't know what he was doing. Now it doesn't work. I had already been thinking about selling the car but now there's no way I could get nearly as much money for it. To get more money, would it be better to sell it for parts or just sell the car to somebody as a fix up?|||You should sell it as is because you would have to take it apart and find a market to sell it too I mean how many people are looking for that specific part of your car 1/5000 depending on how many cars were made and beside you'll never get rid of it in parts you'll just end up with scrap metal at the end and some people while they're taking parts they want will tend to break other things to get What they need just sell it from 400-600 depending on the year and how clean it is|||why don't you take it to a mechanic and see what's wrong with it. then if its a fix you can afford, have it repaired and sell it for more money|||You might be able to get more money by selling it in parts, depends on what kind of car it is.
